Dear husband on top of the Sudety world! |
WINTER!
On pause. The garden waiting for action but is required to rest.
Repeat. Every year the same. Spring does return.
Re-play. Each day is a bit longer than the day before, however
slowly it takes, warmth returns
in time.
Volume. Sometimes the snow blows harder. It
gets turned down eventually and the bird song returns.
Contrast. Lovely green foliage on the now bare
oak. Beauty yes, but deadly, a parasitic
vine. The most enduring, noble of trees will be brought down in time by
that grasping, burrowing, hungry
vine.
Balance. Mountain blankets of snow glistening in the
sun. So much more snow on the southern slope.
Seems the northern winds have lost a point. The southern countries also lost, more than one, more snow than the north, less
prepared to deal with it. Best viewed
together….
Mute. Silence. Sun warmth.
High mountains' companion only
the wind.
What learned #1
- How faithful You. The love which gives rest periodically also brings newness in time.
- The dangers of the insignificant, left unchallenged, can slowly harm us, kill our souls in the long run.
- Not all receive the same blessings, those same blessings can also harm if too abundant.
- Higher and closer to Your warmth brings quietness of soul and the spirit's voice becomes foremost
- Our mechanical way of viewing is too fast and two dimensional. There is depth to gain when really looking
